Talk on Route to Become a Chartered Engineer and Professional Engineer


Chartered Engineers (C.Eng) develop solutions to engineering problems using new or existing technologies, through innovation, creativity and change and/or they may have technical accountability for complex systems with significant levels of risk. 

Professionally registered status shows employers that you have and are committed to maintaining and enhancing the knowledge, skills and competence required to meet the engineering and technological needs of today. The prestige of your title will improve your CV and may lead to wider employment options, career progression and promotion. As a professionally registered engineer or technician you are likely to enjoy higher earnings across your working life.  This is because employing registrants brings benefits to your employer, such as increased customer confidence. This could help them to win more contracts, in turn improving their bottom line.


The program 'Talk on Route to Become a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng) & Coaching on How to Convert Chartered Engineer (C.Eng) to Professional Engineer (P.Eng) BEM for academician'. It is for the purpose of assisting and shows the growth and progress during especially for academic staff in gaining recognition as a Chartered Engineer officially and recognized. As well as coaching and guiding participants on how to convert C.Eng qualifier to P.Eng status that recognized by BEM. It is based on "route 3" on BEM route to become a P.Eng by BEM.

Guidance programs are essential, particularly for staff who experience the complexity and difficulties in a number of things such as form filling, preparation of reports, certificates support (Sponsor / Mentor), the length of service of highly qualified and follow-up actions of the other so managed to get a certificate of recognition as an expert body professional -body.

UniMAP fully supports the efforts among staff towards the recognition of professional bodies that parallel towards fulfilling the needs criteria that been set by the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC).
